A Trip to Araku valley Vizag

I had recently visited Araku and believe me it’s really a great place to stay one day rather doing sightseeing & returning back. The Araku hill station is located at a distance of 120 KM from Visakhapatnam.

It is famous for its scenic beauty, coffee plantations at Ananthagiri, waterfalls and greenery. If you are planning an Araku valley tour then do miss visiting Borra caves or the local tribal museum or the Padmapuram gardens which is famous for its tree houses. For having fun at the waterfalls you can try enjoying it at the waterfalls near Borra Caves or the Dumbriguda Waterfalls near Chaaparai i.e 15km from Araku Valley.

How to reach Araku Valley from Vizag
There is a rail with road journey package provided by APTDC with same day return or with one night stay. One can also directly catch the train i.e. Kirandul Express which leaves daily early morning at 7:20AM and reaches Araku hill station at around 11.00 A.M.This train passes through more than 30 tunnels which is the main attraction. Make sure you make advance reservations as the train meets heavy rush throughout the year. You can inquire with local tour operators who also provide Araku Tour Packages.

Best time to Visit Araku hill station
The best time would be in the months from October to January. The weather is pleasant during the day and cooler at night. During the remaining months; it is pretty hot which makes the trip uncomfortable.

Where to stay in Araku
There are many budget hotels in Araku Valley but try making bookings at the APTDC run resort which is Punnami Hill Resort or stay at the Padmapuram Hanging Cottages that gives a good experience at low price.

To organize the tour in a proper way that saves you time & budget take the help of a professional tour adviser who will make it easy for you by giving tips about Araku Tourism. These travel experts in Vizag can help in planning the trip by giving a tour price estimate for Vizag
